J Clayton Hughey is a body mod artist with over 35 years behind the machine, and over 25 behind the needle... known for precision work, strong composition, and a deep respect for the craft. Originally from Dallas and seasoned by years spent in San Francisco and small-town Texas, Clayton followed the evolution of tattoo law to Oklahoma, where he built Elevate Tattoo OKC into a studio rooted in skill, integrity, and client experience.
His style blends classic tattoo fundamentals with modern technique — bold where it needs to be, soft where it should be, always built to age well. Clayton approaches every piece as a collaboration: thoughtful consultation, intentional design, and work that honors both the art and the wearer.
